Question by Adil M: What is the difference between a ’stock broker’ and ‘forex trader’ ?
Can a Forex Trader be called a stockbroker? Is forex trader a forex broker? Is Forex Trader a correct terminology like stockbroker?

In economic terminology , a stock broker is basically in simple terms a Licensed agent who has to pass certain qualifying tests to be certified to offer securities investment advice to investors .Investors are people who buy shares of stock . He or she may counsel what and when to buy, counsel whether to hold or sell securities, execute buy-sell orders on behalf of the investors,
and charge a percentage of the transaction amount as brokerage fee for commission

A forex trader is basically with no relation in either contrast is a person or a firm who buys and sells currency to make a profit.

    The above isn’t wrong, but to clarify:

    A Broker is a very specific thing. Requires licensing, registration, and, usually, insurance and bonding of one kind or a dozen.

    A trader is a generic term. Can be applied to anyone trading anything, anywhere.

    A stock broker is a brokerage firm that can help you to buy/sell stocks.
    A FOREX trader is a trader (individual person or company) who makes transactions on FOREX (buy/sell EURUSD, GBPUSD and so on)
