This book is quick, enjoyable read. Fun story and great characters. I could picture everything the author described like it was a movie.

I found myself cheering for the heroine in this one, even while I laughed at some of the scenes. The Omegas characters were written to where you could actually imagine each one with their different personalities. Enjoyed the fight scenes also. I enjoyed the story and would recommend this.

I’ve read hq romance all my life, their a quick easy read and always enjoyable. This book reminded me of one of those. not to much sex but enough to keep the story from becoming just another twilight in a short story

This was a disappointing read after the star rating (it was 4 1/2). Should have spent time and read the reviews. You usually get the best insight from the detailed less complimentary *** and so it proved in this case. Alexjoujou’s review was pretty accurate, but the star rating was too generous for my taste.

The characters and plot were very thin and fractured. Several times there were conflicting aspects to a scene. How would you feel if a boyfriend convinced you to attend a ‘fight to the death get together’ (so originally romantic?) with enemies and didn’t defend you when a male was about to punch you in the face? Where’s the preternatural speed when you need it? How would you feel if a friend told a lie which continually placed you in mortal danger seemingly for a laugh? Well, if either happend to me I’d have some strong opinions. These aren’t even touched as discussion points. “No apology, no nothing”. You keep reading thinking there has to be a punch-line somewhere, but no. At least it was a very short read. I did, however, on purchase think this was priced for a new author trying to build a readership, but per word was probably priced higher than a seasoned author. Erin McCarthy is far better at writing comedic vampire stories.

As for the hero having a pale translucent look and a bald head – this brings to mind the human fuel in the film Matrix. Not my idea of a sex god that’s for sure. (I notice the cover conveniently chops off the upper part of the head. Presumably to avoid having to try and make a hairless veiny guy look sexy.) As for the romance scenes they came and went so fast I thought I might have been put in a trance (ahh, that’s where the preternatural speed was).

Essentially this novelli(too small to be a novella) read as an inexperianced author who needs to improve significantly and halve the cost to give some kind of value for money. I cannot understand how anyone could rate it positively.

Just a note. The two original ***** reviews have only reviewed either this book or this and one other by the same author. Make of that what you will.
