    Purslane:

But like flaxseed, it may also contain omega 6 fatty acids in proportion with omega 3 fatty acids and flaxseed also contains omega 9 fatty acids but not sure about purslane. But there may be a higher ratio of omega 3 in purslane.
Sea buckthorn contains omega 3, 6, 9 and the unique omega 7. The latter which is a known lubricator in the sense it helps secretions such as tear formation where there is a tendency to dry eyes and vaginal secretions where there is a tendency to dryness.

I think fish oil is the only food supplement that will give you omega 3 fatty acids alone.

Chickens grazing on purslane produce high omega 3 eggs:

There’s actually 3 varieties of omega-3 that you need to consider – EPA, ALA, and DHA. The first two can be found in vegetarian sources like purslane, flax, linseed, things like that, as well as in wild game.

Unfortunately for vegetarians, the only good sources of DHA are fish, shellfish, crustacians and mammal brains. Your body can convert limited amounts of ALA to DHA but it’s not a very efficient process.

ALA and EPA are important for heart and cardiac health. DHA is important in the brain and eyes.

In recent years some companies have started processing raw algae into concentrated DHA sources (which is pretty much what the fish do too), so apart from fish oil capsules you may also find algae capsules.
