In regards to mapping and all the GPS aspects of the Nuvi 1350T I have no complaints. I returned it for one reason – because it interferes with my aftermarket stereo remote control. I have a Pioneer aftermarket head unit in my car and it seems the FM receiver in the Nuvi 1350T powercord unit interferes with the stereo remote. The remote will work for a little while but eventually stops working at all. Disconnect the GPS and everything works fine. I am going to try the Nuvi 1350 (which does not come with the FM receiver). I would rather go without the traffic updates than my stereo remote.

I really like this Garmin. My problem is that it comes with very few written instructions. I can’t figure out how to use the traffic feature or the blue tooth feature. But aside from that it is great.

I’d say this is the worst GPS i own. I have a Tomtom One XL that works fine until the audio went out so i decide to buy a Garmin as most of my friends say it is good (maybe on specific model). So my friend and i went on a trip, me on my car and him on his own ride. He is using Garmin 255WT. His 255WT is correctly guiding him to the right location while mine keeps on telling me to exit..like WTF??? So i ask him what his settings are and i copied it, turned it on and still the same.
One night i even tested it on just going out 20 miles away from my house. So i plotted the location on where im going and geezz….the street that i was suppose to turn left it asked me to turn right and make a U turn then make a right. The map was all updated even the firmware version…this is a POS!!!….
Do not buy!

I’ve downloaded the latest updates for my nuvi 1350T, and have purchased the cityXplorer Maps for Seattle. However as prior reviewer from California stated, citiXplorer does not work ! At least in Seattle region, a very simple route is never given, although Garmin makes this claim:
“On compatible devices, provides enhanced pedestrian mode — street directions that use any available forms of public transportation: bus, subway, metrorail, tramway, taxi and more.”
Instead of getting the direction to walk down 50 feet and catch the bus “271″, I had to wait, wait and wait, almost an hour, and the devise was still “thinking”.
While I’ve read that in select cities cityXplorer works (at least partially), in many others it doesn’t ! And is Garmin throwing an untested product, thinking that customers wouldn’t make fuss after throwing $10 on useless software (not to speak about the cost of the device) ? Not me though, and I will take this matter to my attorney general, if Garmin doesn’t clean its act and either fix the non-functional software ASAP or refund money to the customer and stop selling non-functional software!
UPDATE: A Senior tech person at Garmin admitted that citiXplorer doesn’t work in Seattle and refunded my money. I returned the unit, got a Droid and couldn’t be happier, since Google provides for free not only turn to turn directions, and traffic but detailed mass transit informations, plus I have an app that gives me exact bus arrival and any delays. And of course all updates are free, and Google’s free beta products work better than Garmins’ paid post beta applications (i.e. cityXplorer)

Hey Raymond
Your Instrument id right. You have to set its settings.
Go to Navigation. Avoidance. Then chech or uncheck the box of Highways.
Then see if it works….
