The CTO & COO of baidu had both gone last month, plus the cofound and COO before and also the chief product manager. seems now only the ceo Robin Li left.
Baidu is never like google, google said don’t be evil, and always did something good to the terminal user, but baidu not, baidu put the cash first, business benifit first, always making stupid mistakes and never build an atmosphere for search engine market.
It’s said there was a discussion about the direction for baidu, one is to follow up the google’s way, making the global chinese information entrance, making it search; the other one is to make fast money in whatever way, search engine need money to expand, they said, no matter game, SMS, or popout advertising.
and it is said this argument is confirmed by Robin Li, who believe that making money is the most important one. So all the CXO and the central team are gone, they think making money only if boring, meanless, in their opinion they have to fight like google’s way to reach their dream.
